For a first novel, the detail and research that has gone into this book is AMAZING. The story is fast moving and a "page turner". The story takes you through the lands of Thailand and the tropical rainforests of Malaysia on a search for buried gold purportedly stolen by the invading Japanese armies as they moved through Asia in World War II. She also explores the deceit and corruption that always goes hand in hand with the thoughts of hidden millions of dollars worth of booty.
 
A great read with a lot of unexpected twists along the way.
 
Would make a FABULOUS movie, with exotic locations and sinister characters.

This book is fun to read, has great descriptions of events and the area and suspenseful to boot. I learned so much about this timeframe in history that I never knew. You will be enthralled from page one. A must read to be prepared for the sequel on the horizon. – Carol Rubin
